6/23/2021
NATCHEZ, Miss. –June 23, 2021—The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) International announced that Merit Health Natchez has been accredited once again for a period of three years for its Inpatient Rehabilitation program.
This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be given to an organization and shows the organization’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards. An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process. It has demonstrated to a team of surveyors its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable, and of the highest quality.
By pursuing and achieving accreditation, Merit Health Natchez Inpatient Rehab has demonstrated that it meets international standards for quality and is committed to pursuing excellence.
We are extremely proud of the work performed by our rehab team here at Merit Health Natchez,” said Interim CEO Mike Ellis. “The physicians, nurses and therapists work tirelessly on behalf of their patients to improve quality of life. This recognition validates their great efforts and commitment to quality and compassionate patient-focused care.”
Stephanie Rehms, nurse director of the inpatient rehab and Michelle Kaiser, director of therapy services, credit their rehab team as well. “During a patient’s stay at our rehab, we focus on preparing him or her to rejoin the community, and we do what we can to make that transition a successful one,” said Rehms. “We are proud of the work our team provides to patients with a variety of functional disorders requiring them to relearn skills that have been hindered,” added Kaiser. “Our CARF accreditation serves to validate the quality of care we provide.”
